Here you can find PDFs of classic trumpet methods. I would still recommend purchasing these books. If it’s good enough to practice or perform, it’s good enough to buy! Still, this list will give you an idea of what’s out there in the world of trumpet books and will get you started.

By anyone’s second lesson with me, you know that I place a very high value on listening. Our 24 carat gold trumpet sound is the sum total of the work we do in the practice room as well as the sounds we have been exposed to. No matter the genre, the players who have the most success have found a uniquely personal sound that both sounds great and feels great. Our sound will change and develop as we improve and as we play more challenging music. All the while, we must be feeding ourselves great models of tone in the form of the best recordings and live concert experiences.
